Burp Cloths

I'm not sure how your baby will be, but Avery spit up all the time as a newborn. I thought I was prepared for this. I had registered and received Aden + Anais Burpy Cloths.

These are amazing cloths that go over your shoulder to protect your clothes from spit up when burping your baby over the shoulder.They don't only protect the front of your shirt, but it protects the back of your shirt from the projectile spit up that can land on the back of your shirt. 

They have a snap on them so you can also use them as a bib, so after the spit-uppy stage they are still usefull. I love these cloths and they are a good brand, but they are on the pricey side at about ten bucks a pop. A few are nice to have but you don,t have to buy an army.

Another thing I received that I registered for is prefold cloth diapers, I used these as burp cloths as well. There is two different kinds Flatfold and prefold. Flatfold is thin and prefold is thicker. My sister in law uses the flatfold diapers as barriers between her baby and dirty surfaces in public. I use the prefold diapers as rags for spit up and other baby bodily fluids.

  

I got 2 10 packs and realized that I needed more, you wont believe how many you can go through in a week. I sprang for the colored Gerber prefold diapers which are a bit more fun and don't show the yucky stuff as much.
